My Course Reflections

Please reflect on your process through the various components of this course. How can we make the experience more valuable and useful to future EDUC500 students. What worked? What could have been better? Any suggestions and ideas for future iterations of EDUC500? Please add your entry to the Blog that you created for this class.

I want to take some time to reflect on this course.  I have enjoyed taking this class.  The teacher was great. I rather enjoyed and felt challenged by the various tasks and activities that were required for the class.  I liked having to put together a lesson that integrated technology and to received that feeling of accopmlishment when we finished. 

There were a few things that could have been changed in the class.  I felt like we had to sign up for too many memeberships in this class.  I also am upset that I currently have a B in this class and I have only received straight A’s in all of my classes and this class by far was the most effort of any classes I have taken.  To receive a B was extremely upsetting.  However all in all the class was great. 

I don’t want to leave on a negative note so let say that overall I liked this class and enjoyed being able to interact with the other students.  I appreciate all their help whenever I sent out help emails.

 

My WebQuest Project

This is Jose coming to you in full force to talk to you about creating my web quest project.  I was very uncomfortable with this class in the begining in the fact that I was not sure of my skills and how I would fare in doing well on this project.  I had seen the projects of previous students and they looked pretty in depth and I was not sure that I could complete a final product that would compare.  I now have a lot more confidence and am even excited about completing it.  I will soon be able to say that I did one and it will be my first.  To this point I have chosen to make a math lesson in which the students will learn to calculate which of 5 basketball players they should use to shoot the final free throws to win the game.  I am currently finished with the writing of all the plans of the lesson and now need to work on the backgrounds, pictures, and soon the video. 

tapped in session

I wrote this before but I am now going to write it again.  I was able to sign up for tapped in when wewere in class on the APU campus.  I was impressed by this websight as asource for us to tap into conversations with other teachers in an open forum or our personal ability to conduct a class in a private forum.  I did send out an email to apoogize to all of the class to say that I was sorry for not being apart of the tapped in session I completely got the day mixed up and forgot it was on wedneday and not thursday.  Because of my confusion I was not only unable to converse during the forum but I was unable to benefit from the learnig that took place that night.  I hope that I did not miss anything to valuable.
